Here, I will answer the questions many have been asking.
Q. Can you do my henna?
A. Yes, you just have to be in Denver, since that where I am located. If you are interested in getting your henna done, go to the "Contact Me" section of this website, fill in required information, then in the comment box put in your inquiry about getting your henna done and I will work something out with you.
Q. Do you or can you do black henna?
A. No! I will NOT and can NOT do black henna. It is dangerous, it contains very little to no henna at all, and has PPD which is approved by the FDA for use in hair dye but is NOT meant to be applied directly to the skin. This chemical gets into your blood stream and can damage your vital organs, and that's what you can't see. If you are allergic to the chemical, you will get blisters that weep puss, and leaves horrible, lasting scars. Please, stay far away from "black henna"! It's not worth it.
Q. What henna do you use?
A. I use henna that I mix myself in henna cones that I make myself. I mix up Jamila henna powder, lemon juice, sugar and essential oils (such as cajeput or lavender). I do this to insure that there is nothing funky going on in the henna I use on myself and others. I lean more towards the natural way of things.
